FollowerViewer ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data when you use our service at followerviewer.com.

We take data security seriously. Your data is stored in an encrypted, access-controlled database and is never used for anything other than providing you with your analytics. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information — full stop.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your display name. Passwords are never stored in plaintext — they are hashed using a strong, industry-standard algorithm before being stored. Your credentials are protected end-to-end.

Instagram Data Export Files

When you upload a data export, we process the contents of that ZIP file to generate your analytics. The resulting data (follower lists, activity records, etc.) is stored securely in our encrypted database and is accessible only through your authenticated account. The raw ZIP file is not retained after processing — it is discarded immediately.

Usage Data

We may collect limited technical data such as your browser type, device type, and pages visited in order to improve the service. This data is not linked to identifiable individuals.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and display your social media analytics dashboard.
To compare snapshots over time and generate insights (e.g., unfollower tracking).
To send you account-related emails (password resets, receipt of uploads).
To respond to support requests you send us.
To detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent activity.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described in Section 4.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, license, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial purposes. Your data is yours. The only exception is when we are legally compelled to disclose it (e.g., by a valid court order), in which case we will notify you to the extent permitted by law.

5. Data Retention & Protection

All your data — account details, uploaded snapshots, and analytics results — is stored in a secure, encrypted database. Access is strictly authenticated and authorized: only you can view your data through your verified account. No one else, including our team, can access your personal data without explicit cause and proper authorization.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual snapshots at any time from your dashboard. To request full account deletion, contact us and all associated data will be permanently and irreversibly removed within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
Export your data in a portable format.
Object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Children's Privacy

FollowerViewer is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
